Kippenfreie Wertachstraße
Die Qualle will mit einer Kampagne gegen die Flut an Kippenstummeln – insbesondere auf der Wertachstraße vorgehen!
Dabei wurden bereits im Oktober 6 selbstgebaute Aschenbecherkästen an den Bäumen der Wertachstraße befestigt. Menschen haben dabei die Möglichkeit mit ihrer Kippe abzustimmen (Beispielsfrage: „Zahlst Du zu viel Miete?“).
Nun ist die Kampagne weiter fortgeschritten: Bei mehr als 20 unterstützenden Läden und Geschäften wurde ebenfalls ein wasserfester Aschenbecher installiert. Die gesammelten Kippen werden anschließend zu einem Recyclingunternehmen eingeschickt – und das Plastik kommt wieder in den Kreislauf.

The Qualle wants to start a campaign against the flood of cigarette butts – especially on Wertachstraße!
In October, 6 self-made ashtray boxes were attached to the trees on Wertachstraße. People have the opportunity to vote with their fags (example question: „Do you pay too much rent?“).
The campaign has now progressed further: A waterproof ashtray has also been installed at more than 20 supporting stores and businesses. The collected butts are then sent to a recycling company – and the plastic is returned to the cycle.

Rückblick 2023: Oase der Qualle
Als Start des Quartiersprojekts Qualle hat eine Gruppe von Menschen im Juni 2023 einen Ort der Begegnung erschaffen – die Oase an der Ecke Mittelstraße/Lindenstraße. Schritt für Schritt wurde der Ort zwischen Blechlawinen und Betonwüste gestaltet und zog Menschen an. Schnell hat sich eine Gruppe von Menschen zusammengefunden, um gemeinsam aktiv zu sein und Projekte umzusetzen, die die Nachbarschaft bereichern.
Neben dem Tauschschrank und dem Foodverteiler hat die Qualle auch Kulturveranstaltungen wie Flohmärkte, Konzerte und Mitte Oktober schließlich ein Straßenfest auf dem Areal der Oase und darüber hinaus organisiert. In 2024 ist das Quartiersprojekt bestrebt, weitere Räume in Rechts-der-Wertach als konsumfreie Treffpunkte zu gestalten.

In June 2023, a group of people created a meeting place – the oasis on the corner of Mittelstraße and Lindenstraße – as the start of the Qualle neighborhood project. Step by step, the place was designed between the avalanches of metal and the concrete jungle and attracted people. A group of people quickly came together to get active and implement projects that enrich the neighborhood.
In addition to the swap cupboard and the food distributor, the Qualle also organized cultural events such as flea markets, concerts and, in mid-October, a street festival on the Oase site and beyond. In 2024, the neighborhood project aims to design further spaces in Rechts-der-Wertach as consumer-free meeting places.

Tür an Tür - Digitalfabrik
Seit wann gibt es die Tür an Tür – Digitalfabrik und was ist das Ziel eurer Arbeit?
Die Tür an Tür – Digitalfabrik gibt es seit dem Sommer 2016. Ziel unserer Arbeit ist es mit digitalen Werkzeugen diejenigen Menschen zu unterstützen, die durch bestehende gesellschaftliche Strukturen benachteiligt oder ausgeschlossen sind.
Welche Erfolge könnt ihr bereits aufweisen? Was wurde bereits erreicht?
Unser meistgenutztes digitales Werkzeug ist Integreat – eine mehrsprachige Integrationsplattform mit lokalen Informationen zum Ankommen und Leben vor Ort. Integreat wurde zunächst in und für Augsburg entwickelt und wird mittlerweile in über 100 Städten und Landkreisen in Deutschland eingesetzt. Mit Integreat werden bestehende Beratungsstrukturen vor Ort gut digital unterstützt und Menschen haben mehr Möglichkeiten zur selbstbestimmten Informationsbeschaffung.
Welche Potentiale digitaler Integration bestehen?
Kaum ein Bereich gesellschaftlichen Zusammenlebens ist nicht von der Digitalisierung beeinflusst. Ob bei der Suche nach einem Arbeitsplatz, der Kommunikation nicht nur mit Freunden und Familie, sondern zunehmend auch mit Behörden und Beratungsstellen, oder ganz einfach: bei der Informationsgewinnung. Doch nicht alle Personengruppen profitieren im gleichen Maß von den Vorteilen der Digitalisierung und sind gleichzeitig ausreichend vor ihren Risiken geschützt. Unser Ziel ist es, Hürden zu identifizieren und abzubauen, die zu dieser Marginalisierung führen. Dabei sind die konkreten Hürden von den Bedarfen der jeweiligen Zielgruppe abhängig. Die meisten unserer Angebote richten sich an Neuzugewanderte, die häufig insbesondere durch Sprachbarrieren von der Nutzung bestehender Angebote und der Teilhabe insgesamt ausgeschlossen sind. Für andere Zielgruppen stellen beispielsweise die Bedienbarkeit und das Design digitaler Angebote eine Hürde dar.
Wir entwickeln gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern konkrete Lösungen, die auf die individuellen Bedarfe der Zielgruppen abgestimmt sind. Unsere Lösungen sollen als hilfreiche Stütze im Alltag dienen. Wie der Name bereits impliziert, will die Tür an Tür – Digitalfabrik digitale Brücken bauen. So werden lokale Prozesse und Strukturen entlastet und gestärkt, Angebote zugänglicher gemacht und Nutzenden mehr Teilhabe und Selbstbestimmung ermöglicht.

How long has Tür an Tür – Digitalfabrik been around and what is the aim of your work?
Tür an Tür – Digitalfabrik has been around since summer 2016. The aim of our work is to use digital tools to support people who are disadvantaged or excluded by existing social structures.
What successes can you already point to? What has already been achieved?
Our most-used digital tool is Integreat – a multilingual integration platform with local information on arriving and living locally. Integreat was initially developed in and for Augsburg and is now used in over 100 cities and districts in Germany. Integreat provides good digital support for existing local advisory structures and gives people more opportunities to obtain information themselves.
What is the potential of digital integration?
There is hardly an area of social coexistence that is not influenced by digitalization. Whether in the search for a job, communication not only with friends and family, but increasingly also with authorities and advice centers, or quite simply: in obtaining information. However, not all groups of people benefit to the same extent from the advantages of digitalization and at the same time are sufficiently protected from its risks. Our aim is to identify and remove the barriers that lead to this marginalization. The specific hurdles depend on the needs of the respective target group. Most of our services are aimed at new immigrants, who are often excluded from using existing services and participating in general due to language barriers in particular. For other target groups, for example, the usability and design of digital services represent a hurdle.
Together with our partners, we develop specific solutions that are tailored to the individual needs of the target groups. Our solutions are designed to provide helpful support in everyday life. As the name implies, Tür an Tür – Digitalfabrik aims to build digital bridges. This relieves and strengthens local processes and structures, makes services more accessible and gives users more participation and self-determination.

Der Stadtteilgarten an der Austraße!
Ihr habt Lust zu gärtnern – alleine, mit Kindern, Freund:innen oder mit Nachbar:innen?
Ihr wollt mit Euren Kindern im Grünen spielen oder euch im Schatten ausruhen, mit Freund*innen treffen, werkeln, grillen?
Dann seid ihr herzlich eingeladen, Teil der Gartengemeinschaft an der nördlichen Austraße zu werden und im Stadtteilgartengarten zwischen Wertach und Senkelbach euer eigenes Beet anzulegen – es gibt noch Platz genug!
Das Quartiersmanagement Rechts-der-Wertach organisiert seit 2017 das Projekt und unterstützt die Gärtner*innen mit Rat und Tat.
Die Nutzung des Gartens ist kostenlos – als Gegenleistung hoffen wir auf eure Mithilfe bei Pflanz- und Renovierungsarbeiten oder beim Gießen.

Use of the garden is free of charge – in return, we hope you will help with planting and renovation work or watering.

Seit wann gibt es Start with a friend in Augsburg?
Start with a Friend e.V. (kurz SwaF) entstand Ende 2014 in Berlin. Aktuell haben wir 25 Standorte bundesweit. Den Standort in Augsburg gibt es bereits seit Anfang 2020.
An wen richtet sich das Angebot und was ist das Ziel eurer Arbeit?
Start with a Friend schafft persönliche Begegnungen zwischen Menschen – in 1:1 Tandems und lokalen Communities. Wir bringen Menschen aus unterschiedlichen Ländern mit und ohne Flucht- und/ oder Einwanderungserfahrung zusammen.
Unsere Vision ist eine aktive Einwanderungsgesellschaft, die ihre Vielfalt lebt. Alle Menschen fühlen sich anerkannt und gestalten gleichberechtigt mit. Wir fördern persönliche Begegnungen, qualifiziertes Engagement und Räume für Bildung, Partizipation und Empowerment. Dadurch erleichtern wir das Ankommen, stärken die Menschen, den gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt und die Demokratie.
In Augsburg haben wir aktuell das SwaF People Community Programm: SWAF PEOPLE – Communities: Miteinander und voneinander lernen. Zusammenhalt stärken. An den Projektstandorten finden Bildungsangebote und vielfältige Gemeinschaftsaktivitäten statt, wie Qualifizierungsangebote im Bereich Empowerment und Antidiskriminierung, Stammtischtreffen und viele andere Community Events.
Ein Teil der Community können alle Menschen ab 18 J. werden. Außerdem suchen wir ehrenamtliche Unterstützung im interkulturellen Bereich.
Wie viele Friends-Duos treffen sich in Augsburg (und speziell in Rechts-der-Wertach) und wie kann man einsteigen?
Unsere Community trifft sich regelmäßig zu versch. Aktivitäten. Unser Stammtisch findet monatlich im Cafe Tür an Tür statt. Z.B. findet der nächste Stammtisch bereits am 13.12.2023, um 18 Uhr dort statt.
Start with a Friend e.V. arbeitet u.a. mit Tür an Tür gGmbH sowie mit anderen lokalen Vereinen, Organisationen, Gruppen, dem Büro für gesellschaftliche Integration und dem Integrationsbeirat der Stadt Augsburg zusammen.

How long has Start with a friend been in Augsburg?
Start with a Friend e.V. (SwaF for short) was founded in Berlin at the end of 2014. We currently have 25 locations nationwide. The location in Augsburg has existed since the beginning of 2020.
Who is the programme aimed at and what is the aim of your work?
Start with a Friend creates personal encounters between people – in 1:1 tandems and local communities. We bring together people from different countries with and without refugee and/or immigration experience.
Our vision is an active immigration society that embraces its diversity. All people feel recognised and have an equal say in shaping it. We promote personal encounters, qualified engagement and spaces for education, participation and empowerment. In this way, we make it easier for people to arrive and strengthen social cohesion and democracy.
In Augsburg, we currently have the SwaF People Community Programme: SWAF PEOPLE – Communities: Learning together and from each other. Strengthening cohesion. Educational programmes and a wide range of community activities take place at the project locations, such as training courses in empowerment and anti-discrimination, regulars‘ table meetings and many other community events.
Anyone aged 18 and over can become part of the community. We are also looking for volunteer support in the intercultural field.
How many Friends-Duos meet in Augsburg (and especially in Rechts-der-Wertach) and how can I join?
Our community meets regularly for various activities. activities. Our regulars‘ table takes place monthly in the Cafe Tür an Tür. For example, the next regulars‘ table will take place there on 13 December 2023 at 6 pm.
Start with a Friend e.V. works together with Tür an Tür gGmbH and other local associations, organisations, groups, the Office for Social Integration and the Integration Advisory Council of the City of Augsburg.

Mit dem Quartierszentrum hat die Qualle einen Ort geschaffen, wo sich alle Menschen in Augsburg – jedoch insbesondere die Nachbarschaft im Quartier – begegnen und vernetzen können. Dabei steht die Förderung des bürgerschaftlichen Engagements und das Schaffen und Stärken lokaler
demokratischer Strukturen, wodurch die Nachbarschaft als Gemeinschaft zusammenwächst, im Vordergrund. Darüber hinaus werden Kunst- und Kulturveranstaltungen im QZ stattfinden.
„Kommen Menschen wieder zusammen, entsteht aus Begegnung und Austausch zwischen Menschen mit unterschiedlichen soziokulturellen Hintergründen Empowerment, Vernetzung und der Wille, gemeinsam Projekte umzusetzen“, so eine Aktivistin der Qualle.

With the neighbourhood centre, Qualle has created a place where all people in Augsburg – but especially the neighbourhood in the district – can meet and network. The focus here is on promoting civic engagement and creating and strengthening local democratic structures

Tür an Tür
Seit wann gibt es Tür an Tür und was ist das Ziel eurer Arbeit?
1992 gegründet engagieren wir uns für verbesserte Lebensbedingungen und mehr Teilhabe benachteiligter Personen in den Bereichen Arbeit, Wohnen und Sprache.
Wie groß ist euer Team und mit wie vielen Menschen aus Rechts-der-Wertach arbeitet ihr zusammen?
Das können wir nicht so konkret beantworten, da Tür an Tür aus mehreren Teams besteht. Jedes Team hat einen anderen Schwerpunkt, um die Menschen Rechts-der-Wertach und darüber hinaus bedarfsgerecht zu unterstützen.
Das Café Tür an Tür ist Treffpunkt für die Menschen in der Umgebung. Hier finden Sprachtrainings, Spieleabende, Lesungen und Konzerte statt. Jeden Tag gibt es für eine kleine Spende (Spendenempfehlung 5€) einen veganen Mittagstisch im Café.
Die Digitalfabrik entwickelt eigene Projekte und unterstützt auf Augenhöhe bei der Umsetzung digitaler Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der Lebenswirklichkeit von Menschen, die durch gesellschaftliche Strukturen benachteiligt oder ausgeschlossen sind.
Was sollte sich im Quartier perspektivisch verändern, sodass mehr soziale Gerechtigkeit entsteht?
Offenheit, Engagement, Begegnung auf Augenhöhe, keine Diskriminierung, Vielfalt, multikultureller Austausch soll weiterhin gelebt und gepflegt werden.

How long has Tür an Tür existed and what is the aim of your work?
Founded in 1992, we are committed to improving living conditions and increasing the participation of disadvantaged people in the areas of work, housing and language.
How big is your team and how many people from Rechts-der-Wertach do you work with?
We can’t answer that very specifically, as Tür an Tür consists of several teams. Each team has a different focus in order to support people on the right side of the Wertach and beyond according to their needs.
The Tür an Tür café is a meeting place for people in the area. Language courses, games evenings, readings and concerts take place here. Every day, a vegan lunch is served in the café for a small donation (recommended donation €5).
The Digitalfabrik develops its own projects and supports the implementation of digital measures at eye level to improve the lives of people who are disadvantaged or excluded by social structures.
What should change in the neighborhood to create more social justice?
Openness, commitment, encounters at eye level, no discrimination, diversity and multicultural exchange should continue to be lived and cultivated.
