Lust auf ein Stück Kuchen im Schatten der Kastanien und dazu gute Gespräche?
Dann komm vorbei zum Café Nostalgie am Samstag, den 18. Juli, von 13:00 bis 16:00 Uhr.

Es gibt Kaffee und Kuchen auf Spendenbasis.

Das Projekt ist aus dem Jugendforum 2025 entstanden und versteht Kuchen als verbindendes Element zwischen Jung und Alt. Seitdem backen die Teilnehmenden regelmäßig und verwandeln verschiedene Orte in der Stadt in ein Pop-up-Café. Dieses Mal haben wir das Glück, dass sie zu uns auf die Sommerstraße kommen.

Fancy a slice of cake in the shade of the chestnut trees, along with some good conversations?
Then come along to Café Nostalgie on Saturday, July 18, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Coffee and cake will be available on a donation basis.

The project grew out of the Youth Forum 2025 and sees cake as a way to bring generations together. Since then, the participants have been baking regularly and turning different places around the city into pop-up cafés. This time, we are lucky to welcome them to the Summer Street.

Everyone is warmly welcome!

Die letzte Woche auf der Sommerstraße ist angebrochen, kommt vorbei. Diese Woche stehen folgende Aktivitäten auf dem Programm:
Donnerstag, 16.7.: Gemeinsam kochen mit Zihanath! Entdeckt westafrikanisches veganes Streetfood und packt bei der Zubereitung mit an. Vorkenntnisse braucht ihr keine – kommt einfach vorbei! Für unsere Planung freuen wir uns über eine Anmeldung an kontakt@rechts-der-wertach.de oder per PN. Spontane Gäste sind natürlich genauso herzlich willkommen.

Außerdem heizen wir am Freitag, 17.7. ein letztes Mal den Grill an. Bringt einfach euer eigenes Grillgut mit – es stehen ein Halal- und ein Veggie-Grill für euch bereit.

Den Abschluss der Sommerstraße bildet am Samstag, 18.7., das Café Nostalgie.
Von 13:00 bis 16:00 Uhr laden Schüler aus dem Jugendforum und Mitglieder des Seniorenbeirats zu Kaffee, Kuchen und netten Gesprächen ein.

Kommt vorbei und feiert mit uns einen Abschluss der Sommerstraße!

Walk-ins are just as welcome!

On Friday, we’ll fire up the grill one last time. Just bring your own food to grill – we’ll have both a halal grill and a vegetarian grill ready for you.

On Saturday, we’ll wrap up the Summer Street with Café Nostalgie. From 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., students from the Youth Forum and members of the Seniors‘ Advisory Council invite you to enjoy coffee, cake, and good conversation together.

Come by and celebrate the closing of the Summer Street with us!

Westafrikanisches Streetfood kochen auf der Sommerstraße

Nach dem großen Erfolg von gestern kocht Zihanath ein zweites Mal mit uns!
Am Donnerstag, 16.7. um 19 Uhr auf der Sommerstraße (Wiesenstraße Ecke Wolfgangstraße).
Es gibt Samoussa und magni magni – alles vegan!

Das Kochen und Essen ist auf Spendenbasis, wenn ihr Lust habt, teilzunehmen, schreibt uns gerne eine kurze Nachricht oder kommt einfach spontan vorbei!

On Thursday, the 16th of July at 7pm our local cook Zihanath will explore the world of westafrican streetfood with us. On the menu there is cooked banana, bean balls and Samoussa – everything is vegan!

The cooking and eating is for free, you can pay as much as you want.

Rückblick auf die zweite Woche der Sommerstraße

Die zweite Woche der Sommerstraße im Quartier Rechts-der-Wertach stand ganz im Zeichen von Gemeinschaft und nachbarschaftlicher Begegnung.

Das verlängerte Wochenende begann am Donnerstag mit einem erfolgreichen Repair Café im Projektraum. Von 17:00 bis 19:00 Uhr nutzten zahlreiche Anwohnerinnen und Anwohner die Gelegenheit, um gemeinsam mitgebrachten Gegenständen ein neues Leben zu schenken, gemeinsam zu tüfteln und zu reparieren. Das Repair Café findet regulär im Zwei-Wochen-Rhythmus statt und verabschiedet sich demnächst in eine kurze Sommerpause; ab Mitte September öffnet es wieder wie gewohnt seine Türen im Projektraum.

Am Freitagabend stand die Kochkultur im Mittelpunkt des Geschehens. Ab 18:00 Uhr warne alle engagierten Unterstützerinnen und Unterstützer des lokalen Tauschschranks in der Wolfgangstraße sowie die gesamte Nachbarschaft zu einem gemeinsamen Kochen und Essen eingeladen. Der Abend ging ab 19:00 Uhr in das wöchentliche Nachbarschaftsgrillen über. Wir stellten Grill und Kohle zur Verfügung, während die Nachbar:innen ihr eigenes Grillgut mitbrachten. Dank zweier separater Grills konnte das Angebot auch vollkommen halal gestaltet werden.

Der Samstag bildete den ereignisreichen Höhepunkt des Wochenendes. Von 14:00 bis 18:00 Uhr öffneten die Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner im Rahmen des von der „Ideenschmiede“ organisierten Nachbarschaftsflohmarkts ihre Höfe und Gärten für Interessierte. Parallel dazu wurde die „Lange Tafel“ auf der Sommerstraße zu Verkaufstischen umfunktioniert, was viel Raum für Begegnungen, stöbern und das gegenseitige Kennenlernen bot.

Der anschließende Abend wurde ab 18:00 Uhr durch ein gemeinsames Kochen und Essen in Kooperation mit der Gartengruppe des Quartiersgartens an der Austraße eingeleitet. Kulinarisch wurde die Veranstaltung zudem durch die Band „Volumen“ unterstützt, die die Gäste mit traditionellen honduranischen Speisen versorgte. Um 20:00 Uhr folgte das Konzert der Alternative-Rock-Band „Volumen“, die ihre Wurzeln in San Sula (Honduras) hat. Die Musiker begeisterten die Anwesenden mitten auf der Straße mit einer Mischung aus bekannten Cover-Versionen und eigenen Kompositionen.

Wir bedanken uns herzlich bei allen Mitwirkenden, den beteiligten Initiativen wie der Ideenschmiede, dem Habitat und der Gartengruppe, der Band „Volumen“ sowie bei allen Nachbarinnen und Nachbarn für das gelungene Zusammenkommen und die bereichernden Gespräche.

A Look Back at the Second Week of the summerstreet

The second week of Sommerstraße in the Rechts-der-Wertach neighborhood was all about community and neighborly interaction.

The long weekend began on Thursday with a successful Repair Café in the project space. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., numerous residents took the opportunity to give new life to items they’d brought along, tinkering and repairing them together. The Repair Café is held regularly every two weeks and will soon take a short summer break; starting in mid-September, it will reopen its doors as usual in the project space.

On Friday evening, culinary culture took center stage. Starting at 6:00 p.m., all dedicated supporters of the local sharing cabinet on Wolfgangstraße, as well as the entire neighborhood, were invited to cook and eat together. The evening transitioned into the weekly neighborhood barbecue at 7:00 p.m. We provided the grill and charcoal, while the neighbors brought their own food to grill. Thanks to two separate grills, the meal could be prepared entirely halal.

Saturday was the eventful highlight of the weekend. From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., as part of the neighborhood flea market organized by “Ideenschmiede,” residents opened their yards and gardens to the public. At the same time, the “Long Table” on Sommerstraße was transformed into sales tables, providing plenty of space for people to meet, browse, and get to know one another.

The evening that followed began at 6:00 p.m. with a communal cooking and dining event in cooperation with the garden group from the neighborhood garden on Austraße. The event was further enhanced by the band “Volumen,” which treated guests to traditional Honduran dishes. At 8:00 p.m., the alternative rock band “Volumen”—which has its roots in San Sula (Honduras)—took the stage. The musicians thrilled the crowd right in the middle of the street with a mix of well-known cover songs and their own compositions.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, the involved initiatives such as the Ideenschmiede, Habitat, and the garden group, the band “Volumen,” as well as all our neighbors for the successful gathering and the enriching conversations.

Hofflohmarkt in Rechts-der-Wertach

Am Samstag, 04. Juli, findet von 14 bis 18 Uhr ein Hofflohmarkt in Rechts-der-Wertach statt.
Er wird nicht von uns, sondern von der Nachbarschaft mit Unterstützung der Ideenschmiede organisiert.
Auch wir werden auf der Sommerstraße einen Stand haben, es gibt Kaffee auf Spendenbasis und wir haben unsere Nähmaschine aus dem Repair Cafe vor Ort, falls ihr Kleidung abändern wollt.
Falls ihr keinen eigenen Hof habt, kommt mit eurem Stand einfach auf die Wolfgangstraße, wir haben ausreichend Tische.

Abends ab 18:30 gibt es dann lateinamerikanisches Essen und Musik von Volumen aus Honduras!
Unbedingt vorbeischauen 🙂

Courtyard Flea Market in Rechts der Wertach

Join us on Saturday, July 4, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm for a neighborhood courtyard flea market in Rechts der Wertach.

The event is organized by local residents with support from Ideenschmiede—not by us—but we’ll be joining the fun! You’ll find our stand on the Sommerstraße, where we’ll be serving coffee on a donation basis. We’ll also have the Repair Café sewing machine on site if you’d like to alter or repair your clothing.

Don’t have a courtyard of your own? No problem! Simply bring your stall to Wolfgangstraße—we’ll have plenty of tables available.

From 6:30 pm onwards, stay for delicious Latin American food and live music by Volumen from Honduras.

Come by, browse, meet your neighbors, and enjoy a wonderful summer afternoon with us!

Die dritte Woche der Sommerstraße 

Diese Woche erwartet Euch ein buntes Programm in der Mittelstraße – wieder unter dem Motto KOCHKULTUR.
Ab Mittwoch öffnet unsere Sommerküche im Freien mit mehreren gemeinschaftlichen Koch-Workshops. Höhepunkt ist ein Kochworkshop, der die Kräuter udn Sprossen aus unserem Gewächs-Schrank nutzt!
Und am Freitag findet wieder das nachbarschaftliche Grillen statt.

Das war das Nachbarschaftsfest 2026!

Bei Sonnenschein und strahlend blauem Himmel wurde am Samstag, 20.06.26 das alljährliche Nachbarschaftsfest eröffnet – dieses Mal auf der Wolfgangstraße. Im Schatten der Bäume kamen Nachbarschaft, Initiativen und verschiedene städtische Stellen zusammen, um gemeinsam zu feiern. Die Qualle organisierte Aufbau und Bewirtung, die Ehrenamtlichen von Tür an Tür stellten ein vielfältiges Buffet auf Spendenbasis.
Von 15 bis 18 Uhr gab es ein Kinderprogramm mit Bewegungsspielen, Kinderschminken und einer Kinderwerkstatt. Außerdem konnten Initiativen sich vorstellen. Das Mobilitäts- und Tiefbauamt informierte gemeinsam mit verschiedenen Mobilitätsanbietern über das Verkehrskonzept und man konnte einen Parcours fahren. Ab 18 Uhr startete die Live Musik mit der Augsburger Band La Sofa und ihren gefühlvollen Texten, untermalt von Bratsche, Akkordion und Gitarre. Anschließend brachte Dani Oliviera mit seiner Gitarre Schwung in die Sache. Den Abschluss bildete cj Rusky mit elektronischem Balkan, Reggae und Funk. 

Es wurde getanzt, gelacht, gegessen, jongliert, gespielt oder unter bunten Lichtern in den Liegestühlen entspannt.

Gleichzeitig eröffnete das NB-Fest feierlich die Sommerstraße, die dieses Jahr durch ihre gelbe Straßenbemalung auffällt. Im Fokus steht dabei das gemeinsame Kochen und Essen.

Das Quartiersmanagement bedankt sich bei allen Mitwirkenden und Mitfeiernden und natürlich bei der wunderbaren Nachbarschaft, ohne die ein so harmonisches Fest niemals möglich wäre! 🙂

This Was the Neighborhood Festival 2026!

Under bright sunshine and a clear blue sky, the annual Neighborhood Festival opened on Saturday, June 20, 2026—this time on Wolfgangstraße. In the shade of the trees, residents, local initiatives, and various municipal organizations came together to celebrate. Die Qualle organized the setup and catering, while the volunteers from Tür an Tür prepared a diverse donation-based buffet.

From 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., there was a children’s program featuring active games, face painting, and a creative workshop. Local initiatives also had the opportunity to introduce themselves. At 6:00 p.m., live music began with the Augsburg band La Sofa, whose heartfelt lyrics were accompanied by viola, accordion, and guitar. Afterwards, Dani Oliviera brought energy to the evening with his guitar performance. The festival concluded with cj Rusky, who entertained the crowd with electronic Balkan beats, reggae, and funk.

There was dancing, laughter, food, juggling, games, and plenty of relaxation under colorful lights in deck chairs.

At the same time, the Neighborhood Festival also officially opened the Summer Street project, which stands out this year thanks to its bright yellow street artwork. The focus of the project is on cooking and eating together as a community.

The neighborhood management would like to thank everyone who took part and celebrated, and of course the wonderful neighborhood, without whom such a harmonious festival would never be possible! 🙂
