Das erste Repair Café im ProjektRaum

Mit großer Begeisterung blicken wir auf das erste Repair Café im ProjektRaum. Am Donnerstagnachmittag, den 07.05., wurde dort zum ersten Mal gemeinsam geschraubt, genäht und instand gesetzt. Bei Erdbeerkuchen und Kaffee lernten wir die Ehrenamtlichen des Habitats kennen, die uns zu Beginn mit ihrem handwerklichen Können und Werkzeug tatkräftig unterstützten. Zahlreiche Nachbar:innen kamen vorbei, um technische Geräte, Uhren oder Kleidung wieder funktionstüchtig zu machen.

Neben dem gemeinsamen Werkeln blieb auch Zeit für Gespräche über das Quartier und das nachbarschaftliche Miteinander. Parallel dazu wurde mit tatkräftiger Unterstützung von Besucher:innen des Deutsch-Cafés unser neuer Tauschschrank aufgebaut, im ProjektRaum war also einiges los.

Leider reichte die Zeit nicht aus, um alle mitgebrachten Gegenstände fertig instand zu setzen. Umso mehr freuen wir uns über die durchweg positive Resonanz und die vielen Menschen, die vorbeigekommen sind. Es ist schön und wertvoll, die Nachbarinnen und Nachbarn kennenzulernen und gemeinsam aktiv zu werden.

Das nächste Repair Café findet am Donnerstag, 04.06.2026 von 17:00 – 19:00 Uhr statt.

Auch weiterhin suchen wir Menschen, die das Repair Café unterstützen möchten, sei es mit handwerklichen Fähigkeiten oder bei der Organisation und Begrüßung der Besucher:innen. The first Repair Café in the ProjektRaum

We look back with great enthusiasm on the first Repair Café at the ProjektRaum. On Thursday afternoon, May 7th, people came together for the first time to repair, sew, and restore items side by side. Over strawberry cake and coffee, we got to know the Habitat volunteers, who supported us from the very beginning with their practical skills and tools. Many neighbours stopped by to bring technical devices, watches, or clothing back into working order.

Alongside the shared repair work, there was also time for conversations about the neighbourhood and community life. At the same time, with the energetic support of visitors from the German Café, we assembled our new sharing cabinet — so there was plenty happening in the ProjektRaum.

Unfortunately, there was not enough time to finish repairing all the items that had been brought in. Even so, we are delighted by the overwhelmingly positive feedback and by the many people who came by. It is wonderful and valuable to get to know our neighbours and become active together.

The next Repair Café will take place on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

We are still looking for people who would like to support the Repair Café, whether through practical repair skills or by helping with organisation and welcoming visitors.
